Certified Digital Archiving & Preservation Platform: New Version Now Available!
Docbyte Vault is of course already the most compliant digital archiving solution out there, but with this release we add even more features to support the needs in the field of Compliant Archiving, Digital Preservation and Application Retirement, besides our Qualified Trust Services for Qualified Electronic Archiving and Long-Term Preservation of Qualified Electronic Signatures and Seals.
One Integrated Platform: Updated Names
As all the existing modules for archiving, document collection, mailroom, etc. are now all integrated in a single platform, it was time to update the names of the different modules to make clear what their roles are in the platform.
- Docbyte Vault:
The core platform. This is our Digital Preservation platform, that can serve different purposes, and that can be extended with modules, e.g. for Intelligent Document Processing. - Vault Admin:
Vault Admin is the user interface used for more advanced users that need to configure the system and need to understand what is going on. It is used to configure retention periods, create reports, collections, etc. - Vault Explorer:
Everyday users can easily find, view and upload information via the Explorer. Vault Explorer runs both on Mobile and Desktop. - Vault Ingest:
Automatically ingest and prepare data and documents from a variety of systems like fileshares, scanners, ERP, SharePoint, or Documentum. Vault Ingest builds compliant archival packages (SIPs). - Vault Collect:
An intuitive app for end-users to take pictures of documents or to upload documents that need to be automatically enriched (classification and extraction) and verified. - Vault Review:
Validate whether the extracted metadata and classification is correct before the information is submitted to the target system.

This release focuses on adding features that Preservation Specialists, Archivists and Content Consumers need.

- Vault Explorer: A new lightweight UI to search, browse, preview, and upload documents. Vault Explorer runs both on Desktop and Mobile. Everything a normal user needs.
- Multi-Factor Authentication is now enforced for all users, using your favourite authentication apps.
- Nested searchflows enable drill-down queries across related archive data. This is especially useful in Application Retirement cases.
- Retention policies now support multi-field rules and new Moderated Deletion (Deletion Lists). Moderated Deletion supports the 4-eyes and 6-eyes principle before information can be deleted.
- Collection Management lets users organize documents into collections. Collections are ideal to combine information in an information that can be shared e.g. with an auditor.
- Signature metadata is now indexed.
- Dissemination enhancements include sorting, fileplan API, and DIP export.
- New conversions added for Slides and Sheets formats.
- Audit and usage reports are now more detailed and exportable.
- Refreshed UI elements across ingest, audit, and browse interfaces in Vault Admin.
