The Panel in the Adobe Flex lay-out containers stack is a great component. It immediately reminds users of the typical windows we get in most operating systems today, in contrast to most other container components. It's for that reason that the Panel component is very popular, and rightly so. However, there's one thing that has always bothered me while developing Flex-based applications: the main content area of a Panel.
